View RecordsUse Webb’s criminal record search and District Clerk custody information, then distinguish a positive case-search result from the documents proving an outcome.
Webb County District Clerk is the custodian for district criminal filings. Use it for case documents, certified copies and record-location help tied to a district court matter.
Use Webb Public Access to identify a case number, party spelling and court when available. Treat the result as a locator before requesting the filed document you actually need.
Do not assume every Webb criminal matter sits with the District Clerk. Confirm the court level shown in the case result and route county-court-at-law or other records to the office identified for that court.
Keep the full case number, party names and court from the official search. If the number is unknown, note approximate dates and court type.
Ask for the judgment, order, indictment, docketed filing or other specific item rather than “everything” unless the whole file is necessary.
District Clerk Search Request distinguishes informational non-certified copies from certified copies carrying the clerk’s certification and seal.
The page accepts email, mail or will-call requests. Non-certified electronic copies are generally delivered by email; certified copies are typically mailed or held for pickup.
| Task | Published Webb fee | Source note |
|---|---|---|
| Electronic non-certified document | $1.00 for a document up to 10 pages; $0.10 for each additional page | District Clerk Search Request |
| Certified copy | $5 certification fee plus copy cost | District Clerk Search Request |
| Paper copy | $1 per page | District Clerk Search Request |
| Criminal case name search | $5 | Webb court fee schedule |
Use the person’s name as it would appear in the court file, including middle name or suffix if known.
Give a useful filing/arrest/court date range instead of an unlimited search if you can narrow it.
State district criminal, county court or other known context so staff can route the request.
Say whether you need a search result, a plain copy or a certified copy. Those are different services and fees.
Webb County publishes a criminal case name-search fee and separately publishes copy/certification charges. Ask staff which service applies to your request, especially when you do not know a case number, rather than adding both fee schedules together on your own.
